12.15 and already busy with jolly locals, chap in front of me waiting patiently for The Arthur's Ale to be pulled through with the barman offering quality control checks until approval was met by said chap!

Mid to late evening visit and much less busier than when we checked in a couple of hours ago. Friendly welcome we arrived back after our visit to the Blue Boar and enjoyed a couple of beers to complement our meal.

Lunchtime fairly busy in the front bar a few groups arriving for food in the choice of the two separate dining areas. Greeted by a Dalek standing guard by the entrance sadly downgraded to solely refuse collection nowadays! I shall upload photos so watch this space..

Unexpected and instant 5*, wheat and caramel paired with a hoppy bitter bite. A snip @ £2.70 a pint for the thrifty minded!
The pub is found in Aldbourne, Wiltshire, SN8 2DU.
Set in the middle of the village opposite the duck pond in The Square. Much improved in recent years, relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. It has two bars, the main bar is stylishly refurbished and has a welcoming fire during the colder seasons. The smaller bar shows films on Monday nights. Sunday carvery until it runs out and then normal menu. Meat drawn Saturday afternoon, Quiz night Tuesdays. 4 en-suite letting rooms.
We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 9 different beers and tried 5 of them.
