| Tindall - Mild | 3.70 | ![]() | This mild from Tindall Brewery*, located in Seething**, Norfolk, came with a good head and its lacing lasting. A dry and slightly caramelised sweetness in the first bite. A hoppy bitterness rising with a biscuity maltiness emerging from a heavy local malt profile including chocolate malt. A hoppy fruitiness with dark, jammy hints winning over from its use of traditional Kentish hops. A lingering maltiness sailing out with roasted flavours and notes of fig roll, subtle espresso coffee, and dark chocolate. A pervading dry bitterness in the aftertaste. Served in good condition. *It was set up in 1998 as Tindall Ales, launching at the Norwich Beer Festival; in 2002, it relocated from its initial base in Ditchingham to its current location in Seething. Between 2007–2018, production was paused for an 11-year hiatus and then resurrected in 2018. **Situated on the historic grounds of the WWII airfield once used by the 448th Bomb Group, a heavy bomber unit of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) which notably dropped bombs ahead of the infantry during the D-Day landings. |

The pub is found in St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL3 4RA.
Tucked away in a residential area at 63 Portland Street, this traditional community local was built back in the 1800s. It is welcoming, a short stroll from the city centre, and handy for the Cathedral and Roman Museum. Fuller’s real ales are stocked alongside the occasional guest such as Tindall Mild from Norfolk on a visit in May 2026. An open pub fire, wood panelling, and pictures of old St Albans give the pub a warm and cosy feel. The venue hosts a 4-day beer festival each June, and regularly offers a variety of live music, quiz, and entertainment nights.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
