Evening meal for which we had to wait over half an hour for a table. Galway was as busy as a medieval market day. We sat in one of the upstairs eating areas and enjoyed the live music that was playing somewhere below us.

The pub is found in Galway, Ireland, H91 AY6P.

Huge pub restaurant spanning two roads in the centre of Galway (back and rear entrances). On three levels with multiple areas on each. Live music. Proudly displays the date of 1649 (when Charles I lost his head) although the pub claims to be older.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
