DubbelNot Tried04 Mar 2009 Instinct nagged at me to try a sample of this before committing to a purchase and I'm glad I did. It wasn't very nice.

The Market Porter, Southwark, Central London

IanGood10 Feb 2008 Ruby with lasitng beige head. I’m guessing that it is supposed to be an old ale but can see it’s down as an ESB. A malty ashy aroma, but then too much caramel in the mouth and no sourness. But a tingly dry hop. As a darkish ale, yep, not bad, bit too sweet up front, but the hop stings the teeth on the finish. Interesting. A malt toffee hoppy beer.
