The pub is found in Ealing, Greater London, W5 4RL.
A landmark pub in South Ealing Road, on the main road south from South Ealing tube station, sensitively refurbished by the ETM Group. Formerly known as the Penny Flyer. Built on a fairly lavish scale for the nearby Royal Brewery of Brentford in 1885, and refurbished in the 1930s, the pub has retained its three bar layout. Old tiling in the grand entrance porch marks out the former Saloon Bar (now mostly used as a dining room). The pub now has a light and airy, stripped-back décor with lots of bare brick and floorboards. Courtyard outdoor drinking area to the rear. Since April 2015, ETM’s in-house brewery has been located in outbuildings to the rear.
We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 7 different beers and tried 5 of them.
