Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Elgood's - Cambridge Bitter | 3.80 | I remember Elgoods bitter as one that when you drank it in a session it would cut through the taste of the others. Perhaps not now, but still a good malty east anglian bitter. | |
Tydd Steam - Armageddon | 5.00 | Perhaps a misnomer-too sweet for ultimate death and destruction.A tawny, malty strong bitter. Not really my favourite beer of the night, but worth trying. | |
Butcombe - Gold | 4.40 | Not Tried |

The pub is found in Helpston, Cambridgeshire, PE6 7ED.
A stone built community local. It has strong connections to the Peasant Poet John Clare, who was potman here. It has been recently renovated in a fairly northern style, with swirly carpets and a helping of whimsy. The second pub in our brief foray to the Soke of Peterborough.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
