A bit of a surprise this one. Did not know it was on until Sunday lunchtime, so rushed down and still found 15 beers on gravity. They were on the warm side and a touch flat as the festival had started the day before and I believe had around 20 beers on at its height. Good effort though and I enjoyed sitting by the pitch watching the women's rugby match which Ashford unfortunately lost. Hog roast was also on. Beers were amazingly only £1 a pint and then free at the end
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tring - Side Pocket for a Toad3.60GoodAmber good hop nose, bit sherberty. Some orange and citrus. More orange citrus in mouth leads to a crisp finish
Burton Bridge - Golden Delicious3.80AcceptableGolden colour thin white head. Bit of hay on nose some green apple acids, then some toffee, caramel leading to caramel smooth finish. Nose is not too attractive but otherwise this is ok
Hanlons (formerly O'Hanlon's) - Yellow Hammer4.20AcceptableOrange coloured beer, honey and ginger aroma, smooth in mouth with good spicey hop finish. Bit watery in mouth but quite nice
Salopian - Heaven Sent4.50AcceptableOrange, amber colour with bubbly white head. Not sure what to make of this. Some citrus and banana, with more banana on palate. Spicey finish, not a lot of hop except on end.
Triple fff - Moondance4.20AcceptableDark copper colour, no head. Sweetish nose with spicey hop bit of golden syrup, bit sweet. Spicey hop on end with a little brown sugar?
Wem (formerly Hanby) - All Seasons4.20PoorOrange colour slightly cloudy, on the way out I think. Some hop, dusty, earthy flavour, some dry hop on the finish
Teignworthy - Reel Ale4.00PoorOrange thin bubbly off white head. Cut grass aromas, green apple, earthy hops. Sweetish in mouth, touch of toffee, end is sweetish and a little unpleasant
