In Silver Street, a Good Beer Guide entry 2011 (first time). A typical lively town-centre pub with between three and five real ales always available. Wells Bombardier is a regular, while beers from the local Springhead and Grafters breweries often feature. TV screens, live music, and quiz nights are part of the pub's week. A wide variety of food is served all day. The pub can get very busy of Friday and Saturday nights and when football is on TV.

We have visited this pub once, seen 6 different beers and tried 1 of them.
