JW Lees (see also Lees) - Ind Coope Draught Burton Ale | 4.80 | Gosh I deliberated over this. This tasted almost... almost... as good as DBA from the hey day of Ind Coope. Had the sweetness tempered by the chestnutty flavour; and the alcohol bite; just lacked something tiny... As close to 5 stars as you can get...

JW Lees (see also Lees) - Ind Coope Draught Burton Ale | 4.80 | A rare treat, a pub which serves this beer which used to be readily available. Seems to have benefited by it's move to Lee's, has become more chestnutty and flavour but still not as bitter in it's prime.

The pub is found in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, DE13 9NR.
A quiet provinicial pub which is the last bastion (at least near its spiritual home) of the once great Ind Coope beer, Draught Burton Ale. Not sure how it keeps solvent, but pleasant enough and free hard-boiled eggs readily available.
We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
