I had never been to this village before, and alighted from the bus to walk to Makeney, but this pub was on the way, and looked interesting. The signs just say King William, but the web site says King William IV so I guess either name is acceptable. I really liked this pub, and would have stayed longer, but I had arranged to meet up with some friends in the next village.
