A classic, lunchtime, beer garden experience here, sampling the beers brewed on-site and enjoying the glorious weather. Plenty of food was also being served up by the dirndl-clad waitresses, but for some reason we did not indulge.

The pub is found in Illertissen, Germany, 89257.
A splendid brewery and attached guesthouse, established in 1686 and supplying just this and one other pub. The brewery stands at the foot of a hill which is dominated by an impressive castle, and is just off the town centre, around 15 minutes walk from the railway station. There is a large, part-covered beer garden to the side of the pub.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried them all.
