On my way back from the Barrow House - recommended by one of the locals there - well it would have been rude not to go in. Not at all busy - bar staff rather preoccupied though.
Clean and pleasant. Pricey - £2.30 a half. Oh Sheps - I do keep trying, but so often I am disappointed.

17:30 visit. We stopped here en-route home from Whitstable Oyster Festival. A lovely old pub, Shep's owned, and quite a crowd turned up in due course including a small coach party from the Oyster Festival. They were known to one of our party and were stopping off here for a drink plus a meal. A very nice country pub.

The pub is found in Charing Heath, Kent, TN27 0AU.
Attractive, beamed pub with two bars in Charing Heath Road, quality dining and a nice garden. Located at a country junction with great views. Pictures on the walls show a very rural idyll from bygone days of this very old pub. Refurbished and re-opened in January 2020 and with 4 en-suite letting rooms added too.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 3 different beers and tried them all.
