Theakston - Old Peculier | 5.60 | – It is honestly many years since I last drank this classic old ale. It is instantly recognisable. Very dark, with a big creamy head. Rich, caramelly and with liquorice notes. Slight fruity sourness. | |

The pub is found in Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire, HU1 1JG.
Fascinating and quirky pub facing on to a narrow courtyard, hidden up an alleyway in Hull city centre on Silver Street. The two ground floor rooms give the appearance of very great age, with wood beams, inglenook fireplaces and leaded, stained-glass windows. In fact it is a 1920s recreation of an ancient hostelry, but now with historic interest in its own right. There is also courtyard seating and an upstairs room.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 8 different beers and tried 2 of them.
