Cottage - Scrum Up | 4.00 | I was rather bounced into this one when my first choice was ‘unavailable’. A malty, brown Bitter of little distinction. | |
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | Not Tried | |
Purity - Mad Goose | 4.20 | Not Tried | |
Big Penny (formerly Truman's) as of late 2022 contract brewed - Blindside | 4.40 | Not Tried | Apparently ‘just run out’, although the clip was still showing when I left 30 minutes later. |
Westerham - 1730 | 4.00 | Not Tried |
Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
St Austell - Tribute | 4.20 | A golden beer, with a soft, orangey, fruity hop taste and no bitterness. Much fruitier than I have tasted this beer before. | |
Tetley - Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried |

The pub is found in City, Central London, EC2M 7LS.
This pub was present by 1869 and was rebuilt as it appears today in 1887. It is a small, street corner pub, close to Liverpool Street railway station. There is a single room, ground floor bar, with a second room upstairs. Historically a Watney’s pub, it is now badged by the Spirit Group as one of their ‘Taylor Walker’ pubs.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 8 different beers and tried 2 of them.
