11:50 On our way from Liverpool to Preston. The perfect halfway house. Never busy but a constant turnover of customers.

Just a taster, horribly sweet. Barman says it contains palm sugar. The pump clip says it's a black IPA. I beg to differ.

It was just after 11am on a Saturday morning and we got the last table, and soon had to share it. This pub has only been open for about six weeks and appears to be very successful. We had planned to do a tour of Ormskirk pubs but ended up having four pints in here instead.

Wow, this was a wonderful surprise. It is not quite the same as the micro-pubs that are springing up in various places, but it is a superb conversion of what I believe was Drapers Card Shop. I sat and read the beer menu and enjoyed a few beers.

The pub is found in Ormskirk, Lancashire, L39 2ER.
In Burscough Street, a superb conversion from a card shop to a very good pub. Initially opened as Burscough Brewery's second pub, and offering up to three cask ales, and a selection of continental beers from a Belgian style beer menu. The pub opened just before Easter 2013. Renamed Tap Room No 12 with change of ownership.
We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 8 different beers and tried 6 of them.
