The pub is found in Wigan, Greater Manchester, WN1 1BA.
Located in Wallgate immediately opposite North Western railway station and just along from Wallgate railway station. Externally attractive red brick building with very ornate first floor bay windows. Traditional multi-roomed house with wooden and glass partitions and a stunning stained glass overhead of a large swan and 2 railway locomotives. 6 handpumps on the public bar counter but usually only 2 or maybe 3 in use. Corridor bar counter caters for the saloon and other varies rooms. Won the Historic England award for conservation in CAMRA Pub Design Awards 2021. Formerly a Marston's house now privately owned.
