It seems amazing that this brewery has only been open a matter of months, so well-established are their beers becoming. The brewers have now settled on their three basic recipies and will no longer be labelling beer as ‘First Brews’.

An enjoyable visit to this impressive brewery organised by North London CAMRA – the first hosted at the brewery (they have a Brewery Open Day on 6 July). Ed Mason and Head Brewer Greg talked 30-40 of us through the brewery’s short history and their brewing philosophy before we had a taste of one of the beers. The group then went around the corner to the Cock Tavern for further tasting.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Five Points - First Brews No. 4 – Pale Ale4.40GoodOn gravity dispense. Not as rounded in flavour as this beer can be, with a harsh, bitter aftertaste. I think it was a little bit too ‘brewery fresh’ and green.
