12:15 Already busy, but the small alcove was free. Interesting conversation with the Guvnor about beer.

Most unusual pub. The bar is above the associated off-licence and is housed in a Medieval hall. The seating is in two distinct areas and is an eclectic mix of furniture. The room is very atmospheric but does get very full at busy times. A visit is highly recommended but weekday lunchtimes are probably best.
