14:00 The Landlady and one customer. I tried to find out current opening hours but with my complete lack of Flemish and their lack of English it proved difficult. An attempt in schoolboy French led me to the impression that it is open when she is there but she may not
always be there. Really worth a visit but be prepared to be thwarted.

The pub is found in Asse, Belgium, 1730.
Spotless, timeless, single bar cafeĢ with a lino floor, half panelled walls, heavy timber bar, a long bench down one wall, and square wood panelled ceiling. The interior is a symphony of shades of brown. A door adjacent to the bar leads to the former barber's shop which was run by the landlady's late husband. On a previous visit I have enjoyed a beer whilst watching the barber cut hair. The urinal is a trough at the rear which affords very little privacy. Closed and demolished.
We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
