Somewhat off the beaten track in Forge Lane, Castle Dene. This traditional pub has a small cosy bar with open fire, a room for pool and darts and a larger lounge also with open fire. The Drunken Floor restaurant upstairs includes a private dining room accommodating about 15 people. The beer range changes frequently, now boasting up to 6 real ales. The pub is reputed to be haunted. Long term closed. Planning permission applied to convert to residential use, this was turned down. Currently listed as an Asset of Community Value.
