I don’t seem to have ventured along the Bermondsey Beer Mile for ages, so resolve to walk the full length over how ever many weeks it takes. This is one of the end markers. Hot weather and a reduced cask beer offering tonight.

Evening until very late close. The years roll on inexorably - another SE London CAMRA branch AGM held here tonight, well attended and some controversial points made about the forthcoming Revitalisation decisions to be made.

Mid-evening visit with a bit of a skinfull already inside from a visit to Brew by Numbers nearby. Very welcoming here but absolutely freezing cold. In fact I wrote ‘FREEZING’ in my notebook and I rarely use capital letters.

Saturday afternoon and very busy. We had a good chat with the owner about beer and breweries.

I’d not really planned to end this particular little pub-crawl here – but had been unable to get into Anspach & Hobday nearby as it was “full to capacity” (carol singers I think). Contrastingly quiet in here. This bar must have the widest range of cask beers brewed on site of any London taproom?

The pub is found in Bermondsey, Central London, SE1 2EZ.
A micro-brewery established in October 2014 and located at Arch 46, Druid Street, within a few hundred yards of several other railway arch brewers in what is becoming known as Bermondsey's Brewing Quarter. On the right upon entering a small bar area has been set up in the brewery, initially open to the public on Friday evenings and Saturdays. This bar brings the first handpumps to the Bermondsey Beer Mile, 8 in total. In addition some cask beers are sold on gravity dispense from behind the bar.
