Best known for its ever-changing range of six cask-conditioned beers from smaller breweries, as well as genuine German and Belgian draught and bottled beers. There are no fruit machines, juke box, TV or pool table, just friendly conversation. Under the ownership of Dave & Kay Washbrook since 1997, the pub has won numerous awards, and has featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide since 2000.
