Lots of blokes watching sport on the tele. This place smells like a proper boozer. Friendly people behind the bar.

Evening. Last time I went here it was all old men, now all students, albeit drinking slowly.

The pub is found in New Cross, Greater London, SE14 6AG.
Landmark pub after which local bus stops have long been named. One island bar serves on all 4 sides of this wedge shaped pub. A former Charrington's pub as evidenced by some interior markings and The House of Toby tiled exterior. 3 live handpumps on one counter and a single non-operational one on another. Proximity of a large College makes this a very popular student haunt in term.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 2 different beers and tried both.
