The pub is found in Wick, Highland, KW1 4LP.
Was the most northerly Wetherspoon in the UK and is located in a former post office in the Market Place. Named after the inventor Alexander Bain who was born on the outskirts of Wick in 1810. He invented the electric clock and designed an electromagnetic means of transmitting images. Three main areas which include the bar area, with its high vaulted ceiling, and two areas each side. Sold by Wetherspoon into private hands in 2022 and real ale ceased being served.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
