Early afternoon and the main drinking area was occupied by family groups eating meals so we asked if we could sit in the near empty raised area but were told that that was reserved for diners. Just stopped for the one.

Following the disappointment of the St James Tavern we passed this pub on the way back to town. It was very friendly and they were doing curry so we stayed and had some. Nice pub.
