Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Slater's - Golden | 3.80 | Strong acetic smell and taste. Spoke to the fellow changing the beer blackboard entries and he simply opined that it was near the end and that he wished he could throw away the last 5 pints of every cask. One would expect a Good Beer Guide pub to jump to attention, change it and take it off sale but he did none of these. A barmaid drowned the pint in lemonade for me but that could not cover up the whiff either. Bad experience | |

Cottage - Oarsome | 4.10 | Not Tried |
Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Lincoln Green - Marion Pale Ale | 3.80 | Far too lively, hazy, sour bitterness | |
Front Row - Touch | 4.00 | Metallic and simply not right, ran out when next customer ordered | |
Titanic - Nautical Mild | 4.80 | Not Tried | Ran out |
Slater's - Golden | 3.80 | Not Tried | |
All Hallows - Peg Fyfe Dark Mild (originally 3.2%) | 3.60 | Not Tried | Ran out shortly after I arrived |
Cottage - Oarsome | 4.10 | Not Tried | Why does Cottage use so many beer names? It can not encourage ANY brand loyalty |

The pub is found in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, CV11 4BX.
Near the railway station an open plan pub with mainly bare boards, with a carpeted raised area to the left. Regular live music venue. CAMRA card holders' discount given on real ales. 10 handpumps in banks of 6 and 4 with cider making a substantial appeearance too.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 6 different beers and tried 3 of them.
