The pub is found in Homerton, Greater London, E9 6AS.
A street corner pub on Homerton High Street, present since at least 1752 as the Spread Eagle. It was a Watney’s Brewery pub in its day and was renamed the Jackdaw & Stump in around 1990 when it became a free house. Revitalised and renamed Jackdaw & Star in 2015 when brought into the local Electric Star group. The old Spread Eagle name can still be seen below the cupola, high above the corner door. There is a Public Bar appearance to the main room, with a very comfortable lounge area behind and a small courtyard garden to the rear. Reverted to original name Spread Eagle in January 2018 with change of ownership with a solely vegan food emphasis.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
