Evening. The most laid-back service of speed and bar-skills I have seen in a long time. After 5 minutes of waiting I was subjected to my preferred choice having its handpump pulled some 20 times before being told it was not ready. I turned the clip round myself on one pump and laid the clip flat on the counter for the other. A barmaid then put that clip back on display!!! 'Spoon's is usually great but some branches seem to deliberately display clips for beers which they know are not for sale.

The pub is found in Stafford, Staffordshire, ST16 2NT.
In Gaolgate Street this is a conversion of a wine bar which was once a hardware shop. Most of the flooring is solid concrete but has some carpeting to the right hand side. Several unusual partially caged seating bays recall the early days of Stafford's gaol. The long bar counter has a striped illuminated frontage and is equipped with 10 handpumps in 2 banks, each of 5. Placed up for sale by Wetherspoon September 2022 with 31 others. Closed October 2023.
