The pub is found in Bethnal Green, Greater London, E2 6LG.
This pub was present on Bethnal Green Road as the White Hart by 1835. Rebuilt in the late-nineteenth century, it is a typically big, solid street corner pub of that era. Traditionally a Truman’s house, the pub has suffered a series of names since the breakup of the Truman’s empire in the early-1990s, becoming successively Tommy Tuckers, Cock & Comfort, the Pleasure Unit, and since 2008 the Star of Bethnal Green. It has a fashionably stripped-back décor, with wooden floors and bare brick walls. Seating on two floors. Music-oriented.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
