The pub is found in Southport, Merseyside, PR8 1RH.
One of two Wetherspoon's on Southport's famous Lord Street. This is the older of the two having opened in 1995. It is named after the holder of the land speed record in 1926 who claimed the title on nearby Birkdale Sands. The building is magnificent but the interior is standard 'Spoon's.
We have visited this pub once, seen 10 different beers and tried 2 of them.
