Evening visit. Tried this one before meeting up with out Friday evening group. Pleased I did to see this rambling old pub and its old bar name inserts in the outside windows.

14:00 Just us, so we had a good look round and I was able to take some photographs. Conversation with the Landlord led to discussing a friend of ours who drank in the pub and who passed away a few years ago. We were pleased to see a memorial brass plaque has been attached to one of the windowsills.

The pub is found in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE29 3NJ.

Just off the market square, in an alley, this is an old pub formed from three separate buildings. Formerly four separate rooms the original titles, Smoke Room, Tap Room, Parlour and Saloon Bar, are displayed in leaded stained glass inserts in the pub windows. One of the Parlour names was damaged but was replaced with great skill in 2004. The pub now has a central bar serving three rooms. Three good 1930s brick and tile fireplaces. On CAMRA's National Inventory as a pub interior of regional importance. 3 handpumps.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 6 different beers and tried 3 of them.
