16:10 Nearly at our destination but a comfort break was required. I was surprised to find an interesting beer on offer. Got into conversation with a local real ale enthusiast.

The pub is found in Ainsdale, Merseyside, PR8 2QB.
A former temperance hotel opposite the site of the demolished CLC railway station. The pub now gains most of its trade from the nearby Pontin's holiday camp. The interior is massive with six rooms served from one central bar. Unusually the car park is not owned by the pub and a parking permit machine is in use.
We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
