Tuesday evening about 6. The main bar area was well patronised with what I took to be locals and regulars. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. There was no one in the other two inside areas - room to one side of the bar laid out in a canteen- style dining area, nor the games room that led of from the dining area. The beers were remarkably cheap - £3.60 for real ale and an offer on Jon Smiths “smooth” at £2 a pint. Unfortunately the ale choice and quality was not so good.

Brakspear (at Marston's Wychwood then at Banks's) - Gravity (was Bitter)3.40AcceptablePerfectly acceptable with little body (as expected for the low ABV) but in good condition.
Greene King - Morland Old Speckled Hen4.50PoorOnly had a half of this, which I struggled to finish. Clear enough but a definite whiff about it.
