Late morning to early evening and this month's NESW venue for our group of eight, busy with the lunchtime food trade which gradually petered out but still busy in the excellent garden alongside the river. Superb service but despite this a badly timed bar visit could mean stuck in a queue for others ordering food.
BeerABVScoreNotes
White Horse - Village Idiot4.10ExcellentLight and refreshing with a hoppy aroma and light, citrus flavours. By far the favourite amongst us hence earned my loyalty after trying the others.
Hook Norton - Hooky Gold4.10ExcellentPale, delicately fruity and refreshing, moderate bitterness and a spicy, noble aroma.
Renegade (sub-brand of West Berkshire then became name when West Berkshire went under) - Mister Chubb's Session Bitter3.40ExcellentNot your average cooking bitter this well carbonated session ale has a refreshing light floral flavour provided by a single variety of English hops.
Loddon - Hocus Pocus4.60GoodBadged as Rowbardge Ruby Ale, pale and dark malts with a small amount of invert sugar combined to form a rich, smooth traditional dark ale.
Ramsbury - RPA Ramsbury Pale Ale4.00GoodThis had a head shaking face smacking bitter kick up the proverbials!
Windsor & Eton - Guardsman4.20Not Tried

Friday lunchtime - 1230 and already heaving - one extended picnic table row seating at least 38 people! Nice to see a good change of ales since Saturday.

Saturday evening, dozens of people outside enjoying the sunshine and the pub barbecue. Two hundred yards from our mooring for the night. Couple more beers I haven't listed.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsbury - Belapur IPA5.50ExcellentDelicious - the long journey (by car) and the short journey (by narrowboat) made this a pint to savour - but not for long.
Saltaire - South Island Pale3.50GoodDry and hoppy - very good flavour for a 3.5
