Another off-piste, after the 1st Woodman, in walking back from 2nd Woodman into Ruislip for a bus onwards. A proper little micropub which has now been running some 8 years according to some locals we joined in the rear yard for seating. Passionate about serving good real ale they told us the new publican is in being here a year and following on from the previous owners who had run it from the start. Only four cask on but this helps to keep it fresh and there was a change of beer during my visit as indeed the Green Hop Monster from By The Horns I asked for when got here just ran out when requesting this. Friendly and prompt service inside the packed micro but the rear yard made for a good place to cool down in after the half a mile or so walk from the Ruislip Woodman.

Evening until 11pm close. Easy to find, about 8-10 minutes walk from Ruislip tube. Every seat taken and more wine and spirits being imbibed than real ale and cider. Very enthusiastic Guv who gave me time to tell me about his venture. Don't know if it was layout, decor or people but was very noisy tonight.
