| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | ![]() | I don't say this often about a Shep's regular beer but this was damn fine. The condition was excellent and the flavours rounded and fresh. The malt had a nice edge of hazelnut and the hops were earthy and pleasantly resinous. Top stuff. |

The pub is found in Sole Street, Crundale, Kent, CT4 7ES.
The pub is found on the edge of the hamlet in Sole Street and is a favourite for walkers, drinkers and diners. Became free-of-tie. Became very foodie. Closed 25th February 2023 and seeking new operator(s). The previous operators from The Timber Batts in Bodsham re-opened this house in September 2023, bringing with them their eclectic furnishings and quirky displays. Limited weekend opening hours.
We have visited this pub 8 times, seen 15 different beers and tried 10 of them.
