The pub down the road was closed for a staff party so I came here instead. Very busy with even the upstairs drinking area full of diners but I managed to find a vacant table in the corner that was not laid with cutlery. Surprisingly I quite like this place but my dining experience will be limited to a bacon sarnie in the the near by Mitre.

Dave and I moved on here, where there is a nice bar but the single ale on did not excite.

The pub is found in Clerkenwell, Central London, EC1N 8SQ.

A very long-standing pub in Greville Street, established at this site by 1746. It became a free house in 1988. Today it is better known as a restaurant, but there is still a perfectly normal, if somewhat upmarket, pub at ground floor level. Four handpumps on the bar. Closed early 2022 for a "re-design". Re-opened late 2022 with new name and identity.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
