Evening until 23:00 hours and very quiet as the darts team were playing away and apart from us there was only one other customer in the pub which begs the question Why do they need football on the television with sound turned up and music being played at the same time?

A quick visit to see how things are going now the pub has reopened, a good atmosphere in here tonight and a small buffet laid out on a table.

Recently refurbished by the brewery, flagstone floors and the lack of soft furnishings make the acoustics in here cause everybody's conversations to be rather loud and echo off the walls. Most of the nice little nick-nacks that gave this place a homely feel have gone. I understand that the brewery are advertising for tenants to run this pub and currently have a manager in place.

The last day for some time. Jocky the barman was originally going to manage this place until new tenants were found, but now it is going to close for refurbishment. The pub is expected to re-open in March 2015.

Evening 'session' to see a covers guitarist called James, who was pretty good too. A long term friend of Jacqui, who was on duty tonight, and a fair crowd in and all enjoyed the music.
