Three chaps on the next table are eating their way through a mountain of barbecued meat.

Saturday night and lively.

The fine weather continues and most are sat outside.

12 Jun 2019 (Stephen Harris)
Very quiet in the afternoon. Filled with lovely brewing smells.
Deviant & Dandy - Weekday Warrior | 2.70 | | Presumably from a keg of some kind. This low-strength, high flavour Pale Ale is just the job for the circumstances. |

Kernel (The Kernel) - India Pale Ale - Galaxy Enigma | 6.20 | | |
11 Apr 2019 (Stephen Harris)

A quick visit. It has a bit of a pre-club atmosphere tonight.
Hackney Church - Chatsworth Cherry Saison | 2.80 | | From keg I think. Pink foam. Smooth, fruity and tart. |
28 Feb 2019 (Stephen Harris)
A quiet evening in here.
St John at Hackney - Centennial Brown Ale | 5.40 | | Brown Ale with hops and a relatively light body. |
Lervig - Hoppy Joe | 4.70 | | From keg. US Red with malt and a little caramel plus great hops. |
21 Feb 2019 (Stephen Harris)
Late-afternoon and I almost have the place to myself.
Kernel (The Kernel) - Export Stout London 1890 | 7.50 | | From key-keg. Another superb recreation of an historic London recipe by The Kernel. |
Tiny Rebel - Pomegranate and Molasses Belgian Strong Ale | 8.00 | | From some kind of keg. Amber and strong. Fruity sweet and a little bit spicy. On another day I might consider this to be 5 star. |
