Visits Details

28 Jun 2025 (Hogan Sampling)
My seventh and final visit of this outing and my first to this 2018-launched micropub not far from the Imperial just visited. One roomed with high tables and stool seating. Just the one cask on my visit. A friendly owner running it and friendly locals made for some good banter for this early evening pitstop before the train back to London.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Downlands (formerly South Downs) - Best4.10GoodGood head and lacing on this West Sussex best bitter from Small Dole, north-west of Brighton. A bitter first hit. A hoppy note or two coming to the fore aided by its Admiral, Perle, Galena and Challenger hops. A fruity bitterness rising up and lasting.

My first visit here, a proper micropub.
