Lunchtime visit on a Friday, I looked at the windows and came to the conclusion that this must be a former Charrington pub. Mostly regular trade at this time of day.

| St Austell - Tribute | 4.20 | Not Tried | Ordered and poured, then poured away as it was very much the end of the cask. The barman offered me a pint of Doom Bar as a replacement unless I was prepared to wait until the lines were flushed through and replaced with Purity Gold, I chose to wait. |

Large pub on the corner of Forest Road and Palmerston Road, it is opened out but retains a separate area for pool tables in what was once a billiard room.
