Early evening walking the canal we were due to go into the larger canalside Wadworths house (The Barge) - but were advised that this was a better bet for a “proper pub”. Quiet but friendly. Had had a busy weekend so only one ale on - usually three.

Village local a short walk from the Kennet & Avon canal. Large garden plus a couple of outside “pods” available for hire (Covid-19 leftovers!).
We have visited this pub twice, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
