Friday evening. Very busy all round but young staff coping admirably. After a tough day on the narrowboat we sat on the comfy sofas and appreciated our drinks. Nice buzz to the place.

Rhymney - Export5.00ExcellentReally good, strong bitter with great body, and in fine condition. Spelled Xport on the pump clip.
Salopian - Lemon Dream4.50AcceptableForgot that I don’t really like this beer, and it wasn’t very fresh. Another customer said it was a bit like Lilt.
Salopian - Darwin's Origin4.30Not Tried

The pub is found in Llangynidr, Powys, NP8 1LS.

Large old inn in Cwmcrawnon Road, modernised internally. Mainly laid out with eating tables but a couple of areas off with leather sofas. Separate bar with pool table. Garden over the quiet road that leads down to the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
