Windsor & Eton - Windsor Knot | 4.00 | ![]() | Very good head and lacing presented on this pale ale from Windsor and lasting. A fruit-infused hoppy first hit aided by the hops, Sovereign and Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand. A tropical fruity bitterness rising up on the taste buds, assisted by its biscuity flavouring and melon malts. A pleasant fruity hoppiness lingering. |

The pub is found in Brentford, Greater London, TW8 0AW.
Positioned just off the High Street at 1 Ferry Lane. This side road is marked by the ancient Fire Station that is now a restaurant on its corner with the High Street. Forming an addition to two old Victorian terraced cottages next-door on the right as facing the tiled frontage of the ground floor, it is said to be from the early 20th century, mock-Tudor in style and containing original Art Nouveau-style glass in the ground-floor windows. The current building replaces the former and where a pub has been on the site since 1751 according to historians. Remnants from around 1790 can be seen on the exterior side wall. Described as a community pub, it is in an area that is seeing a lot of change with many an industrial unit gone and replaced by “luxury” flats. Two real ales on, on a visit in May 2025. Its menu has a mix of traditional British pub food and Japanese specialties, along with a Sunday roast. Dog-friendly and children until 7:30pm. The pub is mentioned in Alfred Pearce's poem of Fifty Pubs on Brentford's High Street, penned in 1948 and found in copying the link below: https://ealing.u3asite.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/50pubsofbrentford.pdf
We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
