Visits Details

24 Dec 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Advertised as opening at 5pm on Christmas Eve but was open at 1.30pm so wandered into an almost empty pub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Canterbury Brewers - Biggleton's Brown Ale3.80GoodPale brown or dark amber bitter with a good mix of traditional hops and malt. The finish is quite sweet with a citrus twist. My score 15/20.
Canterbury Brewers - Canterbury Haka4.10Not Tried
13 Aug 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Deserted on a Saturday afternoon, with cricket on the many screens. Only one beer on, which I hadn't had before.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Canterbury Brewers - Canterbury Wheat4.40GoodGood for a wheat beer, not a fan usually. This had a good wheaty cereal malt flavour and some hoppiness to balance things out a bit. Fairly dry finish. My score 15/20.

The pub is found in Canterbury, Kent, CT1 2NY.

Large cavernous sports bar that is a recent convert to real ale, one or two on at a time mainly from the Canterbury Brewers at the Foundry. *** In Autumn 2014 reported as having closed as a pub and now open as a restaurant called Ambrette serving no real ales.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
