A convenient late afternoon post Caves visit with a couple of friends before heading off into Bromley for a meal. Quiet with just a few folk dotted about in this cavernous establishment.

Posh pub with well-mannered and attentive staff. Very pleasant sat on the roof terrace on a warm summer's evening. Pub menu food was very good quality and decent value, although the peri peri chicken could perhaps have done with a bit more bite to it. When confronted with the obligatory age-old gastropub choice of either Youngs or Bombardier, I dutifully opted for San Miguel.

The pub is found in Chislehurst, Greater London, BR7 5NP.

In Chislehurst Road, from the ashes of one of the area's grottiest chav haunts rises the model example of a 21st century gastropub. Decor is smart and lavish and the walled garden and roof terrace are a particular feature. Certainly food-focused but diners can choose from the formal dining menu or more affordable options from the pub menu. Young's acquired this house from Redcomb Pubs in January 2019 and is the operator here. Re-named (or rather reverted back to) its original name after the Covid-19 first lockdown.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 2 of them.
