Evening - looks like it has been reopened under the same name as a bistro. Did have one ale on - Butcombe - but I felt out of place with only diners and left.

The Good Beer Guide 2009 has 5 pubs in Avon and the furthest one out is the Beehive. Tony and I decided to start with that one and walked for 20 mins only to find it closed and up for sale! Anyway, the Bunch of Grapes was a lovely pub. Very relaxed and cultured. The music was eclectic - everything from Soft Cell to Sinatra and The Clash. We ate big plates of food here for very little. Top pub.
