After our experience at the Morritt Arms, it was good to be back in the CB. The Riggwelter had all the qualities I perhaps misguidedly look for in a Yorkshire beer-dark,complex but not cloying. It shares beer of the month spot with Sheps Late Red

My first decent pint since it was repatriated:is it as good as it was in those few oases of ale in Co Durham in the 70s?Who knows, but it definately had depth to it, with floral notes that rebelled against the overwhelming dryness of some of these golden ales!
