I came here for a (very) late lunch at 4pm when the pub was quiet, having put in some hiking hours earlier on. I would recommend the ham, egg and chips for anyone who has a good appetite.

17 Dec 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
White Rose (Sheffield) - Raven | 4.80 | | Black malty beer with fairly low hop character putting it just in the mild bracket rather than porter. Fairly sweet with a fruit and malt finish. My score 16/20. |
East Coast - James & Kirkman Tuck's Tipple | 4.30 | | Very pale but rather hazy due to being served a little too cold. Quite bitter but hop character held back a bit due to the temperature. My score 14/20 with B for quality. |
10 Sep 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Imperial - Imperial Darkness | 4.00 | | Excellent sweetish roasty stout with chocolate and coffee notes and a silky smooth mouthfeel. My score 17/20. |
The Brew Co (now called Exit 33 after a spell as Sky's Edge) - Full Nelson | 3.90 | | Very hoppy golden ale with the unmistakeable pungent citrus and gooseberry notes of Nelson Sauvin. Quite a bitter but fruity finish. My score 15/20. |

Second visit of the day, when there were a few more customers and the beer had warmed up a bit.
Exit 33 (formerly The Brew Company then Sky's Edge) - Hop Monster | 4.50 | | Pale and predictably hoppy, the bitterness a little high for my taste. My score 14/20. |
