A wonderful pub in central Lancaster, I have been here several times before, and very much hope to call again. This was a Saturday lunchtime and the pub was reasonably busy, but not too crowded. A very pleasant place to relax, and to study my map to find out how I managed to be here, as I should have been heading from the railway station to the Moorlands.

The first pub on a Lancaster to Leeds pub crawl. This is my first return to this pub since Mitchells ceased brewing in Lancaster. The pub appears to have had a re-vamp since those days.
